A Plan for the Renewal and Revitalization of Mission Bay Park

Earlier this year, Citizens Coordinate for Century III asked its members to help design a land use plan that would ensure meaningful restoration of native wetlands at De Anza Cove in the northeast corner of Mission Bay.

Since then, C-3 has hosted several community meetings and discussions, and worked collaboratively as part of the ReWild Mission Bay coalition to craft a functional, workable plan for Mission Bay Park. This proposal incorporates the "Wildest" wetland restoration as a baseline for mapping out a comprehensive reimagining of facilities to revitalize the northeast corner of Mission Bay Park – and ensure climate resiliency as sea levels rise over the next 80 years.

Join us for our Breakfast Dialogue as we invite you to provide feedback on our land use plan. We'll be joined by several stakeholder speakers to walk us through the proposed elements, discuss how the plan will contribute to wetland restoration, and offer a hands-on perspective of how the plan can spark a more accessible Mission Bay for All.

    C-3 Urban Crawl DeAnza Cove:

Explore the Restoration of Mission Bay's Wetlands

    November 9, 2019

    10 AM - 12 PM

It's a critical time at Mission Bay, with a once in a lifetime opportunity to restore precious wetlands in the northeast corner of the Bay, or DeAnza Cove. Changes can also improve accessibility to Mission Bay for all. Right down the street, SANDAG is working to complete the Balboa Station for the new Mid-Coast trolley line, which believe it or not, has access provided through a section of Mission Bay. C3 wants to give you the opportunity to get outside, explore. and learn more about this area!

We'll begin at the corner of Pacific Beach Drive and Crown Point Drive to tour Kendall Frost Marsh, Campland by the Bay, and Rose Creek.
