A BENEFIT FOR THE C-3 ARCHIVE AT THE SAN DIEGO HISTORY CENTER

Even before the California Coastal Commission or U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Citizens Coordinate for Century 3 (C-3) was the environmental conscience of San Diego.

Since that time, in part due to C-3’s leadership in education, advocacy, and empowerment, a plethora of organizations have developed throughout San Diego County focused on promoting progressive values in architecture, urban design, land-use governance, natural resource management, sustainable economic development, climate change resilience, and social justice.

As the field of allies has grown, C-3’s role has been to promote coordination, collaboration, and communication.

The purpose of this celebration is to ensure that C-3’s legacy in shaping San Diego’s history will continue to inspire the next generation of civic leaders dedicated to creating livable communities throughout the San Diego Region through education, advocacy, and empowerment.
