Transforming "The Boulevard":

Enhancing Commerce and Culture

Come learn how planners and community leaders are creating a culturally diverse, economically profitable, walk, bike and transit-friendly corridor along Historic Highway 80, also known as El Cajon Blvd.  Listen to experts talk about how business and cultural districts can build upon the assets of a growing ethnic population, and how various organizations are partnering to forge new business and branding opportunities.

A high percentage of residents along this corridor are of multi-national, culturally diverse origin. The Boulevard’s recent history is one of collaboration and cooperation among various stakeholders who are interested in furthering community and economic development efforts. Join us in learning how far the San Diego segment of the old Highway 80, this new corridor of commerce and culture, has come and its future plans for redevelopment and revitalization.
