Debunking the "D-Word"

San Diego is in the midst of a housing crisis: costs are soaring for owners and renters and the problem is made increasingly worse by the lack of adequate new housing. 

New affordable housing is located at the outskirts of the region, requiring long commutes to work and adding to traffic woes. Young people forming households and new residents are especially impacted - undermining the future of our region.  

Is the solution "density"? Better design? Greater engagement with communities, or more benefits to current residents? 

C-3 will address these questions, with a diverse set of speakers experienced in developing and advocating for the kind of housing we need:
