We synthesize historical knowledge with innovative thinking to develop solutions for San Diego's unique land use and design challenges.
C-3’s Knowledge-Action Networks (KANs) are collaborative think tanks that facilitate research, educational programming, and design proposals to illuminate strategies for achieving culturally vibrant, economically robust, and environmentally sustainable growth in the San Diego/Tijuana region.
Their mission is to synthesize historical knowledge with innovative thinking to identify solutions that empower and support diverse land use stakeholders from grassroots community activists to top-level policy makers.
KANs bring together local thought leaders from planning, design, policy, academia, community development, and more to address our region's distinctive and pressing land use challenges.

On the eve of our 60th Anniversary, and in light of the extraordinary events of this year, we have temporarily shifted our educational programming to a digital format.
Our hope is that this collection of Contemporary Dialogues on the state of our region may serve as a time capsule, reminding us of the challenges our communities have faced and that much can be achieved if we continue to build bridges through collaboration and communication. We hope that by publishing these dialogues in a digital audio format, we will reach more diverse communities, giving them access to information on the issues that directly affect them.
Please listen, enjoy, and share.
