C-3 San Diego's Knowledge to Action Networks serve as engaged learning platforms promoting coordination, collaboration, and communication within and among existing networks. We bring together organizations and individuals to share information, deepen understanding, and inspire action.

C-3 San Diego's Knowledge-Action Networks (KANs) are collaborative learning platforms that facilitate research, educational programming, and design proposals to illuminate strategies for achieving culturally vibrant, economically robust, and environmentally sustainable growth in the San Diego/Tijuana region.
Their mission is to synthesize historical knowledge with innovative thinking to empower and support diverse land use stakeholders from grassroots community activists to top-level policy makers.

KANs bring together local thought leaders from planning, design, policy, academia, community development, and more to explore our region's distinctive and pressing land use challenges.

KAN Structure

Since 1974, Temporary Paradise has promoted the idea that one of the most valuable assets of the Greater San Diego / Tijuana Region is the uniqueness of its landscapes.  And that these unique landscapes serve as the canvas for creating livable communities.

C-3 San Diego's Knowledge Action Networks serve as engaged learning platforms dedicated to fostering mindful development and stewardship of the six unique ecosystem habitats that make up the Region. All are invited to join the conversation by signing up to one or more of the 24 curated conversations that will be hosted by C-3 San Diego's KAN Chairs.  These virtual gatherings will introduce attendees to the movers and shakers who are serving as champions for livable communities in each KAN area.
