Housing San Diegans:

We've Changed the Rules, What's Next?

A sigh of relief rose in San Diego in June when Mayor Faulconer announced a platform to revamp regulations and make it easier to build in our housing-hungry city. Just a year ago, his office announced an initiative to streamline housing development in Southeastern San Diego, near one of the city's busiest transit stops – but development has yet to take off.

In other high transit areas, such as El Cajon Boulevard, new developments are finally emerging. What are the secrets for success, and how do we increase housing supply while maintaining affordability? What challenges remain?

Join us on Thursday, July 27 at 7 a.m. as housing policy experts and developers share lessons learned in Southeastern San Diego, North Park, and beyond.
