SANDAG Seeks Qualified Members for Independent Taxpayer Oversight Committee!

Calling on licensed architects, civil engineers, or traffic engineers: SANDAG seeks qualified members for its Independent Taxpayer Oversight Committee (ITOC)!

ITOC supports SANDAG in the implementation of the TransNet program, the region's half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements. Specifically, members of ITOC

represent the public in ensuring that the projects undertaken and monies spent are consistent with the TransNet extension ordinance - the 1/2 cent sales tax - passed by San Diego County voters in 2004, with particular responsibility for overseeing the annual financial audits and triennial performance audits of the TransNet program.

That’s a fancy way of saying that members of the ITOC have a seat at the table to provide input into most of anything important that goes on relating to SANDAG’s TransNet program.
