Transit Advocates and Friends!
You are invited to be part of Vibrant San Diego on Saturday, March 16, at 10:00 a.m. Help promote a healthy, walkable, bikable, accessible, train-rideable, economically VIBRANT SAN DIEGO!
Join Mayor Bob Filner, other community leaders, active transportation advocates, climate activists, health organizations, and environmental justice advocates!
This rally and community walk is approximately one mile. Bring the kids! Bring your friends! Bring anyone who is interested in increasing mobility and decreasing our City's reliance upon cars for transportation.
At 10:00 A.M. we will meet at University and 32nd Street (in front of Walgreens), and conclude at University and Mississippi (in front of Albertsons) at 11. Parking will be a challenge, so please plan to walk, bike or take transit to meet us, or park a few blocks away to leave room for late arrivals. If you do bring a bike, please walk your bike during the event or coordinate your ride with Bike San Diego.
Let's show our neighbors and leaders we want a better San Diego, a VIBRANT economy and healthy city!
If you have a hand held sign that supports transit or related issue such as reducing GHG/climate change, this will be a good opportunity to reuse it.
If you’re willing to be a team leader, please contact Jack Shu at firstname.lastname@example.org and plan to arrive at 9:00 a.m. to receive a short orientation and instructions rear part of Walgreens.
SEE YOU ON SATURDAY!
